Electricity prices for most regional customers fell in 2018–19. The typical customer on the main residential tariff (tariff 11) saw a decrease of 1.3%, and the typical customer on the main small business tariff (tariff 20) saw a decrease of 3.4%.

On 28 February 2018, we released our draft determination on regulated retail electricity prices for regional Queensland in 2018–19.
In April 2018, the Minister issued us with a revised delegation to set regulated retail electricity prices for regional Queensland.
On 22 December 2017, we received a delegation to determine regulated retail electricity prices for regional Queensland from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019, from the Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy.
On the same day, we released an interim consultation paper to seek stakeholder feedback on how we would determine electricity prices for regional Queensland.
