GAWB price monitoring 2025–30

On 14 December 2023, the Queensland Government directed us to conduct a price monitoring investigation of GAWB’s bulk water supply activities from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2030 (the price monitoring period). On 23 May 2024, the direction was amended to exclude the consideration of the Fitzroy to Gladstone pipeline from our investigation.

Our price monitoring investigation has commenced and considers a range of matters, including the appropriate prices for the period that provide GAWB sufficient revenue to recover its prudent and efficient costs.

In December 2024, we published our draft report that set out our preliminary findings on GAWB’s appropriate prices for its bulk water services and explain how we arrived at them.

We are now seeking stakeholder submissions in response to our draft report by 17 February 2025.
