Fee framework

The QCA’s fee framework governs how the QCA’s costs are recovered from the organisations it regulates.

The most recent review of the fee framework was completed in November 2023.

The QCA fee framework provides stakeholders with key information about the approach and methodology the QCA applies when setting fees. In September 2018 the QCA approved a review of the framework and prepared a revised draft. The draft was published in October 2018 and all regulated entities and entities currently subject to price monitoring were informed seeking comments and submissions by 20 November 2018.  The review of the framework was completed and approved by the QCA in December 2018. The QCA will review the framework on a triennial basis or earlier should operational or legislative changes require a review.

The QCA finalised the 2016–17 fee framework following the issuance of a draft fee framework and consideration of all submissions received.

The QCA advised stakeholders individually of their expected fee for 2016–17.

As required in the 2016–17 fee framework, the QCA undertook an internal audit (performed by BDO) of the application of the 2016–17 fee framework and associated costing model. This report can be accessed below.
